Blast Mitigation Consultant

Critec Group are expanding and are looking for a Blast Mitigation Consultant to specialise in strategies and technologies to minimize the impact of explosions in various environments, such as military, industrial, or urban settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment:

Conduct evaluations to identify potential blast risks in structures or sites.

Analyse vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

Design and Engineering:

Develop designs for blast-resistant structures and materials.

Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate blast mitigation into building designs.

Consultation and Advisory:

Provide expert advice to clients on best practices for blast mitigation.

Assist in the development of emergency response plans related to explosions.

Ensure that all mitigation strategies comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.

Communication Skills:

Clear verbal and written communication to convey technical information to non-experts.

Problem-Solving: Innovative thinking to develop effective mitigation solutions.

Qualifications:

Education:

Typically a degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field; (However not a pre-requisite).

Experience:

Relevant experience in blast mitigation, structural engineering, or related fields.

Certifications:

Professional certifications related to safety, engineering, or risk management may enhance qualifications.
