Human Resources (HR) Coordinator

Salary Range: [£47k to £55k]

Job Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and organizational development. This role ensures the HR department operates efficiently and aligns with the organization’s strategic goals. This role will require the development of a HR system in co-ordination with Top Management and The Systems Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and hiring.
  • Manage onboarding programs to ensure a smooth integration of new hires.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Serve as the point of contact for employee and contractor relations issues and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and HR policies.

Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage performance review processes.
  • Support managers in setting goals, coaching employees, contractors and delivering feedback.
  • Identify areas for improvement and development plans.
  • Assist in supplier evaluations for sub-contractors

Training & Development:

  • Assess training needs and design learning programs for employees, contractors and managers.
  • Promote career development and succession planning.
  • Organise and conduct appraisals with contractors and staff

Compliance & Policy Management:

  • Ensure legal compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Assist the organisation in improving Corporate Social Responsibility compliance
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, contractor handbook and HR procedures.
  • Assist Systems Compliance manager in system audits and reporting requirements.

HR Operations:

    • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS system.
    • Monitor HR metrics and use data to inform decision-making.
    • Manage employee and contractor records and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in HR management or supervisory HR roles.

 

  • Knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.

 

Preferred Skills:

    • Formal HR Qualifications. (CIPD qualifications and Membership)
    • Experience in the Security Industry especially vetting and clearance (Preferred but no essential)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software platforms
